So the discussion has already started about who I look like. Most people think I look like my Mamma. Here's a photo of her when she was 3 weeks old (compare to the photo of me below in the same sleeper). I think I have my Mamma's face, and my Daddy's eyes and ears. I think I have my Mamma's fingers, but my Daddy's thumb. And my Mamma's toes, but my Daddy's big toe.

Who do I look like?

Nope
Spicy food is definitely out. I did not like that at all. I wish Mamma would just learn to eat bland foods that don't hurt my immature digestive system. Mmmmm..... liverwurst.

Food preferences
Tonight Mamma dared to eat spicy Thai - I'll let you know tomorrow if I like it. Early indications are that I don't.
Sentimental day
So today was pretty cool. Besides going to the doctor for my 2 week checkup (I'm a "sweet baby," but really, I'm closer to 3 than 2 weeks) and all that excitement, I received the best gift. My Bestemor and Bestefar (great grandparents) gave their granddaughters golden heart pendants when they were born, and now as a great granddaughter, I got one too! I can't wait to wear it when I'm older (and bite it to see if it's real gold). And going along with that sentimentality, I chose to wear an outfit that my Mamma wore when she was 3 weeks old. I think I wear it better than she did, especially now that it's considered retro.

Laughing!
For the life of me, I now can't remember what I thought was so funny, but I found myself laughing today. A deep and throaty laugh. My Mamma was very excited. I don't see why. I can't yet tell her what I was laughing at!
Making a good first impression.
So my GranmaNée arrived today, and I've been doing my best to make a good first impression. I've napped quietly and contently in her arms. I've shown her that I can eat efficiently and not always spit up. And I've shown her that my digestive system is fully functioning. For my pièce de résistance, I pooped clear across the room hitting the wall and closet door! She can't help but love me.

Faces
I like making faces. I smile, wink, look innocent, cry, look angry and look like WC Fields. But my newest face is looking suspicious. I want to point out that it is not a coincidence that I started making this face on the first day that Mamma and Daddy starting looking at day care centers.

Am I growing? Or is my sleeper shrinking?

Eureka!?
My parents continue to learn, and to eat healthier. Mamma always had her chocolate treat while pregnant. And since I don't like chocolate, I would kick her. Now, she's continued to eat chocolate, so rather than kicking (which obviously didn't work), I've gone to staying up all night being fussy. It took them a couple of nights, but I think they've figured out that I don't like chocolate (yet). Yay! So I rewarded them with a good night of sleep. One. Then I'll probably have to teach them about the next food I don't like. I can't decide if I'll take away Mamma's garlic, orange juice or the small amount of caffeine she gets.

Happy 2-week birthday to me
To mark the occasion, I poopied. Since Daddy's getting smarter, he waited until he heard two more colossal farts and the "ahhh" look before he started to change me. Then once the clean diaper was under me I shot a little poopie rope about 3 feet all over it and almost got daddy's hand. Then daddy put another clean diaper underneath me, and since he must have been a bad boy in a previous life as soon as that was in place I made a huge pee pee everywhere! YAAAAY

Pizza - Ick!
I'm trying to teach my parents to eat healthier. If they eat greasy pizza, I'm going to stay up all night crying. But if they eat a good healthy dinner, I'll reward them by being a good night-time sleeper. They may have the PhDs in psychology, but I'm already an expert at behavior management, and I'm less than 2 weeks old.

Day 4
And here are my feet! I had my first doctor's appointment today. I'm still 20", and I'm down to 6lbs 14 ounces. The doctor wants to see me again to make sure I'm gaining enough weight. Almost didn't make it as it was snowing something fierce outside. Unfortunately, the snow delayed my Mormor's visit by a day :(
