Vacation Day 1: Indianapolis Children's Museum

The best place in the universe. Tree houses and mirror mazes and frogs and transformers and kitchens and Avatars and dinosaurs and trains and Egypt and history and glass. And then after all that we got dessert and swimming and hotel nights. No way vacation was getting better than that.

Iron Man

We tell our friends that Daddy is Iron Man. And they don't believe us. But he is! He really is!

Songs

My friends and I have a fun song we sing to each other. We sing in silly voices and dance like monkeys. When Mamma and Daddy hear our song, the pee themselves and fall over. Not the reaction we were expecting.

e: (singing) I want to peel your banana!

M: What's a zombie?

n: It's green and black and has sharp teeth.

At Nina's summer camp, they swim every morning. So much she calls it Swimming Camp instead of Summer Camp. And every day I'm insanely jealous because I want to play in the water too. But now, Water Days have started at my school. Rain, sprinklers, puddles. Happy wet me.

Found a cool creek with bugs and chipmunks and people taking pictures (by a professional photographer) of their kids in clean clothes by the creek that weren't allowed to play in the creek. So sad. So we threw extra rocks for them.

M: I'm so thirsty. I need a drink.

New friends

Grandkids live down the street part of summer. That is awesome! They come play in our pool, and we jump on their trampoline, and they're a boy and a girl and the same age as us. Only he's the older brother. I think they like that we live here too.

Watching a house get torn down makes for a nice summer evening.

My first week at summer camp and it is awesome! My friends from after school care are there. And my soccer friend. And even a friend from preschool. And we swim everyday and get sweaty in the gym, and eat awesome delicious food. Summer great.
