Well here it is,
today you're eight
we get to circumnavigate
the year just passed
it was a blast
(well mostly) but we'll
let that pass.
Let's see, how 'bout
your favorite stuff,
are they the same
have you had enough
of music (country)
red, white and blue,
Treehouse stories 52?
Is pizza still your
favorite dinner
have you found another
winner?
Minecraft took up lots
of time
will it be here when you
are nine?
But let's stay put,
(well one more
leaping)
is your future still
zookeeping?
(Though how to keep a
zoo could be
as we all know
as we can see
the biggest job that
ever was)
and "why" you
ask,
well just because
it's hard enough to keep
a HOUSE
where MICE can multiply
from MOUSE
and worse, we've heard,
it has been said
they have a taste for
gingerbread
which would be bad
and not so fine
especially when at
Christmas time
you make such artful
tasty houses
NOT for lunch for little
mouses!
In Nina's poem I
mentioned farts,
forgive me for this
starting:
but here it is, we need
to talk
about the family
farting.
Your uncle's nearly knocked
you out
your own?
Well we're in
luck.
Mamma asked, here's your
reply
(trying to pass the
buck.)
She heard a might
ripping sound
a crackling kind of
"quccckkk"
she asked if it was you
..."that was a
mighty noisy duck."
I guess it's only
natural
you'd think of feathered
things,
since animals are where
it's at,
especially things with
wings.
I heard about your need
for birds,
(pictures as it were)
not stuff with fins or
hooves or claws
or anything with fur,
"BIRDS" you
cried,
"I NEED SOME
BIRDS!!!"
your parents were so
puzzled,
I of course was not
surprised
and wouldn't want you
muzzled,
I understand about such
things...
NeeNee loves things
wild, with wings.
There were a lot of
parks this year
at home and everywhere,
King's Island,
California, Disney
fun time wasn't rare!
Serenity and Trinity
and Meditation
Rock
things to ride and slide
and swirl
and places just to walk.
But there are rides you
do not like
and frankly I don't
blame you,
who needs things that
lift you off you seat
and maybe strain you!
A person likes to stay
secure
their bottoms firmly
seated,
we'd rather stay ALIVE
than take a chance at
being deleted!
Then there's your sense
of humor
which apparently was led
to you putting labels on
your face
announcing you were
dead.
There is a word for
this; it's "dark"
and you should probly
know
it's common in our
family,
we often aim for
low.
(I could have used a
different word
a word like, oh say
"woe",)
but we don't look for
easy laughs
for us they're just below
a certain standard we
have set
...the shallow is our
foe.
Then again;
The Weird Hair
Day,
I doubt you were much
torn
when deciding on your
get-up;
a horn of unicorn.
It's good your sense of
fun is big,
there's so much that is
funny,
from morbid dark to
magic
and to all things bright
and sunny!
Super Hero Spider Man!
Your Daddy loved him
too,
(he had a roundy
bouncing thing
when he was young like
you,
the top was Spider Man
but the bouncing part
was blue.)
On Halloween, your
spider costume
BLACK, a sure delight
(until the part when
daytime left
and dusk turned into
night,
and you became invisible
which caused a different
fright...)
(Plans can be like this
sometimes,
that's why the Plan
called "A",
is something NeeNee
never says
she calls them all Plan
"K.")
Let's see,
what else was new
this year
oh yes, there's Olive
Garden!
And chocolate milk for
Santa
and a rock
that smacked a harden
on your head that
made a bump so big
we thought your skull
might burst
but it turned out we
were wrong
and being scared of just
the worst,
which by the way seemed
not to faze you,
(a fall on rocks not
nice...)
you STILL laced up your
skates
so you could glide
around on ICE!
All of which just proves
to us
how brave you are,
how daring,
you're funny smart and
talented
you're also cute
and caring;
If we were school and
had to grade you,
Ewan at year eight:
Splendiferous and
awesome, yes,
...but really? Purely
GREAT!
Happy Birthday Ewan!
bigloves,
NeeNee
