NeeNee!

After 10 hours in the car and some snow storms, we arrived in the woods and found NeeNee's house. With NeeNee and toys and candy and birds and squirrels. And turkey!

Catching up

Nina is my big sister. But I'll be bigger real soon. She only weighs one pound more than me, and has a half-size bigger shoe. She still has a couple inches on me, all my weight is in my big head (which fits adult size hats).

Travel

M: Get some books for when we're at NeeNee's.

n: (grabs 2 books)

M: You only need two books for three days?

n: (grabs one more book)

Thank you Mamma for bringing more books. I read five in the car.

Spelling

n: I have a new B, O, Y, F, R, I, E, N, D.

M: Oh really, what's his N, A, M, E?

n: Tyler.

M: And why is he your new friend?

n: Because he's C, U, T, E.

Decision making

M: (rational rationale)

e: That sounds like a good desicion.

e: How did the car get to the movie theater?

M: How?

e: It drove there!

Parent Teacher meeting

I just read a chapter of Junie B Jones. By myself. Because my teacher told Mamma and Daddy that I'm reading a grade ahead of where I should be.

My Little Pony

In our house we all have alter egos from My Little Pony. I'm Twilight Sparkle. Because she's smart. I used to be Fluttershy, but now I'm not. Ewan is a bit Fluttershy, a bit Rainbow Dash. Because they love animals and are really really hyper. Daddy is Apple Jack. Because Ewan wants to be Rainbow Dash. And Mamma is Pinkie Pie because she talks the fastest and has the biggest smile.

After watching many episodes where Pinkie Pie figures out what is going on before everyone else, but does so in a manic-talking way with a big smile...

D: I think Pinky Pie is really the smartest one in the group, but they don't all realize it. 

n: Then Mamma can't be Pinky Pie. 

Favorite parts

While I'm telling my favorite part of the day at dinner time, my poopy brother interrupts me.

D: It's not nice to interrupt.

e: (raises hand). 

D: Yes Ewan?

e: You can also raise your hand.

Green

I got to swim at the Y when school was out for the day. And I got a green band. That means I swam well enough to go in the deep end by myself. BY MYSELF! Haven't done swimming lessons in months and months. I'm so proud!

Pinkalicious

In the invitation to the fashion parade, it invited "children." And if Nina is doing something, I want to do it too. But then a lady at the fashion parade said it was only for girls! I'm glad Mamma and Daddy taught the lady that it's 2013. I was the only boy, and it was fun walking with Nina. And the play even said it was cool for boys to like pink. I know because I watched the whole thing sitting super nicely. 

Pinkalicious

We had a fashion parade, and I wore my best pink walking a catwalk. And then we saw the play, and it was awesome! Even though blue is my favorite color, it's sometimes nice to be pink.
