Bedtime
I have a new bedtime routine. After bath I have my bottle with Pat Sajak. Then I brush my teeth (though if I forget I do it in the morning). Then Daddy reads to me, does a little rocky-rocky, and down I go by 7pm. Then I either wake up 15 minutes later screeching, or I wake up at 9:45pm with some unsettled cries. Depending on my mood, the weather and the moon, I may or may not demand some extra cuddles before settling down. If I need the extra cuddles, I also demand that Mamma and Daddy stay in my room with me until I fall asleep. Or at least I did that until they wised up and just left me alone.

Words
Thankfully I've found another me to help keep up with all the words I'm learning: bamboo, window, shoes, socks, pizza, milk, water, nose, eyes, hair, toes, happy, baby, mamma, daddy, mormor, bear, hat, outside, up, book, ball, tree, shirt, doggie, moo (cow), whee (park and/or slide), walk, bye, bagel, waffle, kiwi, banana, apple, elmo, eyebrow, bebo (bellybutton), mouth, chin, knee, foot, elbow, cheese, cracker (also means cookie), door, nightnight, down, uh-oh, ruv-ru (love you), flower, wave, meow-meow (cat), fish, baaa (sheep), fork, man, duck, B, bottle, wet, blue. And that's all I can think of now. I hope I'll find a third me soon to help with my enunciation. Thankfully Mamma and Daddy understand me, but nice strangers aren't as smart.
Happy Birthday Mamma!
It's Mamma's birthday today! I'm not sure how old she is but I'm pretty sure it's at least 2. To celebrate, I made Daddy cook her a wonderful dinner and buy her all kinds of fun presents, even though none of them were Elmo-themed. What will I say when Mamma asks me "Why no Elmo, or books, or standing up on the couch, or eating stickers?" Daddy I do not think I will have an answer for her. I will only be able to pat her on the back soothingly with no hitting. "There there," I will say. "There there."

Good use
I'm getting my bottom canines (although according to Mormor they're called incisors). So I'm putting them to good use. No need for apples to be cut up anymore thank you very much. Now all I need is my molars and then I can start demanding $20/tooth from the toothfairy! These are tough economic times, I'm sure she'll understand.

Best behavior
I was on my best behavior today to see my doctor. He said I was "remarkable" and that Mamma and Daddy are "doing an excellent job". I was quite curious about everything he was doing, and sat still for him throughout! He said only 10% of his patients are that easy. Though I admit I didn't share with him that I like to have pizza as a time snack before bed. Like I said. I was on my best behavior.

1 1/2 years!
I'm a very good communicator. I know lots and lots of words. Mamma and Daddy tried to count them one day. But then I learned a whole bunch of words the next day, and then even more the next, so they've completely lost count. I use 2-word sentences (mostly about Mamma and Daddy saying hi or bye). I lead Mamma and Daddy by the hand or pant leg if I want them to come somewhere. And I hurl myself to the floor crying if they're not doing what I want them to do. I still try to whine to get what I want, but Mamma and Daddy aren't falling for that much anymore. They just give me a stern look and tell me to use my words. Bummer. I recognize photos of my grandmothers. I call them both "Mormor" right now.I'm the boss in this house. Or I try to be. I want to be. I am, right? Right! I am the boss!
I LOVE bathtime and hate when it ends. I cope very well with having water poured over my head (by splashing as much as I can so that I close my eyes before the water pours down my face and I get Mamma as wet as I can).
I also love to dance, look at baby pictures on the computer (I demand to look at baby pictures on every computer everywhere - even the ones at the doctor's office), and being outside.
I will not eat my food unless I'm using a fork/spoon. This includes cookies and crackers. Unless I'm in the mood where I will not eat my food unless I'm using my hands (this goes mostly for yoghurt, apple sauce and anything I can run through my hair).
Bedtime is still 7pm. I ask for my evening bottle, watch some Pat Sajak, brush my teeth and then walk Daddy to my room to read books. I wake up around 6:45am, but need my alone time in the morning to wake up. I'll call Mamma and Daddy to come get me up around 7am. But I don't like it when they always insist on changing my diaper first thing. I'd rather run around a little first. Those wipes are icky cold first thing in the morning!
I give hugs and kisses and great big giant bear hugs. I'm learning how to say "love you" but it still kinda sounds like "ruff rou".
I still prefer to read books while sitting on laps or cuddled in close. Or really, I'll read books all day long by myself. Richard Scarry is currently my favorite.
I love my morning walks with Daddy. But I prefer to not sit in the stroller anymore. Daddy can use the stroller as his walker. But I do not like going back inside. Like I said earlier, I'll scream and cry and try to hurl myself out of his arms whenever he tries to bring me inside. This also goes for times when I have to get in the carseat and I don't want to go for a ride.

Growing
I'm growing good and fast - I'm already taller than Daddy! My next goal is to know more words than him. I know my body parts (my favorites being hair, nose, ears and eyebrows). I know my foods (my favorites being waffle, kiwi, banana and apple). And I'm a quick mimic. At this pace, I think I can out-word him in a couple of months.
