100 days

I've been in Kindergarten for 100 days! Woohoo! And I still love it.

I'm not listening

M:  If you have bad dreams, you can use your imagination to make it happy. Like you can imagine the scary thing wearing funny cloths. And you can come and get Mamma or Daddy. But it's all your imagination. And you control your imagination.
n: Stop talking. I'm tiiiii-rreed.

Politics

Politics on TV is boring. I keep hearing about tea parties, but they never seem to have any fun.

Global warming

See. I told Mamma we'd have another Christmas. It snowed again! Yay! But then it melted. Boo. And tomorrow will be hot and 60'F? And Friday will be cold and 25'F? I'm so confused? It's very kind of Mother Nature to cycle through the seasons so fast so I can practice learning them.

Australia Day (observed)

I wore my Australia shirt today and told my teacher. So she had me stand at the front of the class and tell everyone about it.

n: It's Australia Day and we celebrate Australia today because if no one did they'd be sad.

Australia Day (observed)

M: It's Australia Day.
e: And they have Australia buildings.

Scarred for life update

Yeah. I'm still 3. The party was fun. But peeing and pooing on the potty was too much work to get the presents. But now I have Nina nagging me too because apparently she'll get presents for helping me toilet-train.

What? Dinner was going to happen anyways because Mamma and Daddy have been together a bazillion years? They tricked me? Ha. Trick's back on them as they FAILED! Bwahahahaha.

Orbits

n: So if the moon goes around the earth, and the earth goes around the sun... What does the sun go around?

Educational weekend

(Reading the Magical School Bus series)

Mamma was reading to me about Copernicus and Galileo and testing our ideas. And I learned that the sun doesn't go around the earth. The earth goes around the sun. Whoa. That blew my mind. But the moon still moves around us. This is all going to take some time to digest this much information.

MLK jr day

(After a short discussion about MLK)

n: Can you tell me more about Dr King?
M: Sure. What would you think if you couldn't go to the same school or drink from the same fountain as your friends because they have different skin color?
n: That's crazy. And my friend Rylee has freckles, that'd be crazy too.
n: How did Dr King change stuff?
M: By talking. And telling as many people as he could about his dreams for everyone to be treated the same.
n: Cool.

Title

e: You're bossy. You're Mr Bossy.
n:  NO I'M NOT MR BOSSY! I'm Mrs Bossy!

Boy crazy

n: (blushing) Today was a good day because Chistopher played with me and he said sorry for saying 'nah-nah-na-na-nah' to me yesterday and he smiled at me.

Scarred for life

I think Mamma is scarring Ewan for life.

M: Ewan, when will you use the toilet?
e: When I'm 5.
M: Guess what?! Today's your birthday and you're turning 5! We're going out to dinner to celebrate and we'll eat cake.
e: Yay! I'm 5! I'm going to use the potty! And get presents!
M: Well, we have to wait to get presents until we use the toilet like a 5 year old. Plus, we don't have the time to get presents for tonight.

(after dinner.... Still no toileting... But desire to wear underwear!)

Crush

I've got a crush on my friend Christopher at school. But I tried to kiss Shayden. And Nolan is super funny and smart. But of everyone, I wish I could marry my Ewan.

Experiment update

It worked! I was the last one up, and awake with everyone else! So I'm doing it again tonight. 10:30pm is my new bedtime. The only difficult was figuring out how to change my poopy diaper time from 6am to 10:30pm. But I think I've managed it smoothly enough.

Shower

I'm tired of baths at night. I want to shower in the morning like Mamma and Daddy. They taught me tonight how to shower. I've practiced lots at swimming. Maybe soon they'll let me practice in the morning. They complain I'm hard to wake up in the morning. I don't know WHAT they're talking about.

Friday is leftover pizza day

e: What's for dinner?
M: Leftover pizza.
e: Where's the green bag?
M: What bag?
e: The one with my blankets.
M: Oh, we bring that home from daycare on Fridays.
e: But today is Friday.
M: Today is Wednesday.
e: But we're having pizza. So it's Friday.

Experiment

I'm always the first one awake. And I play in my room and look at books until Mamma and Daddy wake up. But it's lonely. So I'm doing an experiment. I stayed up until 10:30pm! Maybe I'll sleep in tomorrow. Finally.

Proof

In the future when Nina brings home suitors, I'm going to be really protective. And I'll want to remind her that I've always been protective. Since we were in diapers. Okay. Since I was in diapers.

Etiquette

I'm learning manners and curtsies from Barbie movies. And about other countries and flags and how girls rule. Mamma says Barbie has evolved. Daddy throws his hands up in the air.

Doctor princess tool guys

Problem solver

I was in the muscle room at school when Mamma picked me up, and so I ran to the door. I stepped on the foam bench, jumped up so my belly was on the 1/2 wall, reached over the wall and reached the door lock, and unlocked the door. All by myself. No one told me it was against the rules to figure out solutions to problems!

Barbie and Ken

I got a Ken doll for Christmas. At first I didn't like him. Then Mamma told me he was a zoo keeper. Now he helps defend my toy castle from the bad dudes (code for security guards).

Girl Scouts

Yesterday I wanted to sell Girl Scout cookies but Mamma fell asleep at nap time. So today I was sooo excited to sell cookie orders. I was really cute and polite and took lots of orders! Just on my block. Mamma wanted to talk a lot to the neighbors. I wanted to get to the next house to sell more. No one said no! Well, except the house that had already bought some. And I always said 'thank you'. I wish I could sell more.

n: Do you want to buy some Girl Scout cookies?
Neighbor: Sure, what kind do you sell?
n: I don't know. I like the peanut butter ones.

Over achiever

n: Can you test me on my spelling?
n: I wrote really pretty.

Proud chefs

We made own dinner and it was the best pizza we ever tasted!

Girl Scout cookies

If you want to buy cookies, just let me know. I'm not allowed to go out selling cookies in the dark or without a parent. But I figured Internet orders were okay.

Office is now also a TV room

We have a new TV upstairs. And Ewan got new race tracks for his cars.

Gucci

n: (singing) I've got an oochie in my coochie.
M: What are you singing?!
n: It's from Sharpay (movie musical).
D: I think you mean you have something in your Gucci bag.
M: Phew!

What's the definition of ambivalence?

e: (while spinning) Yes no yes no yes no yes no yes no yes no yes no.

Makeup madness

Five bracelets, one necklace, three rings, all white clothing, silver blush and sparkly chapstick. And then request to watch Sharplay's Fabulous Adventure. Because she likes to wear jewelry and makeup and all white too.

Changing minds

D: (to Mamma, picking up Ewan at daycare) Ewan was spitting on the stairs so we were in time out.
e: NO I DIDN'T.
D: Yes, you did.
e: No, I didn't. I changed my mind.

Bye-bye Mormor and Morfar!

It was so much fun playing with you and snuggling you in the morning. Please remember to put on sun block and have fun searching for seashells.
