Tic

Mamma and Daddy claim I have a tic. I think they're crazy and have no idea what they're talking about. I don't grunt or clear my throat. I have allergies? Is that what they mean?

Yellow

My class has this system where you start on green, go to yellow for not following the rules, and then go to red. I had my first yellow day. Because I had all these thoughts in my head and if I didn't say them I'd forget them. But it's okay. I'll work harder to wait my turn.

Special dinner

With no AC yesterday we had a special dinner in the playroom (we still have a window AC unit on the 3rd floor). Mamma and Daddy were so proud of us. While they made dinner, Nina and I thought on our own to bring up napkins and extra chairs. We loved it. But now that the AC is fixed, we hope we can still have special dinners upstairs.

Pick up truck

e: I want a truck like that one.
M: Why?
e: Because there are a lot of them in our neighborhood.

Kindergarten clothing

While going to school might be sad, going clothing shopping is fun! I like that Mamma lets me pick my own clothes. She's still traumatized by lime green from 1988, that she doesn't realize this is the next "in" color.

First official day of Kindergarten (take 3)

 

 

On my first official day I lost it. I lined up with all the other kids. And Daddy was looking at me all Daddyish. And the other kids were all sad. And my eyes got watery. And I couldn't help it. Bwwwahhhh.

Just because the AC is out is no reason to deny us TV and movies. The TV is for shows, not heat. Silly adults.

Last day moody blues

(attempting to make a gift for teachers). It will be perfect. Oh no, the paper isn't cutting right. AAAHHHH!!! I can't do it. Mamma, that's not right (throw paper, attempt head-belly butt). I HATE YOU!

(30 minutes later). It's my last day, I'm so excited. (jumping up and down grinning ear to ear). Big kiss!

I like the dentist. Really. They give me toys and toothpaste and toothbrushes and tell me I'm awesome!

n: Daddy, are you really crying?
M: Yes, he is. He was very sad because we left him alone.
n: I was talking to Daddy.
M: Daddy's answer is going to be the same as Mamma's.

So I went to kindergarten today. And I think Daddy wanted me to cry. But I didn't. Cus it's not my first day. That's next week. Today was only another practice day with half of my class.

Pee water

n: Where does the bathtub water go?
D: Into the ocean. Eventually.
n: So the seagulls will drink some water that they think is yummy but Ewan peed in it and they don't realize.

Chew Toys Anonymous

Hello, my name is Ewan and I like to chew toys. I like to gnaw on them. And keep the chewed off bits in my mouth. I chew toys all day. Even if reminded every second. I prefer toy car tires, but animal tails are the easiest. When I am older I will keep a toothpick in my mouth instead, but parents don't let preschoolers play with sharp sticks.

For real!

I pooped in the potty!!! Sure it took 45 minutes of sitting (from Mamma catching me hiding in the kitchen and me refusing to poop). But I did it! And then I got a small animal! I'm very proud.

Kindergarten (camp)!

 My first day, and I didn't turn back. I get 3 half days this week. And one day next week. All to prepare for the real start of Kindergarten on the 27th. Why? I'm ready now!

I can sleep anywhere

 

Even in the middle of lunch, in the middle of a restaurant, in the of Disney. Power nap. Good to go for another 4 hours!

 Some call it "It's a small world". We call it "Dancing with dolls". One of our favorite rides. Sure, I was confused on the first ride. But after that IT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER!

Day 5: Magic Kingdom again

 

 

 

REAL LIVE PRINCESSES!!! We have never been more grubby and excited. The monorail being broken, Peter Pan being broken and Pirates of the Caribbean stopping (because a girl got off the ride when she wasn't supposed to) could not rain on the excitement of meeting Rapunzel, Belle, Cinderella and Tiana! And parades! And more toys! Woohoo!!!!

Day 4: Typhoon Lagoon

An hour of water play is great. But playing for hours and hours in our own backyard pool is better.

Day 3 continued

NeeNee took Ewan to buy a toy. Mamma and Daddy took me on Star Tours (Star Wars ride). I think I got the better deal. And then we just barely stayed awake to watch Fantasmic. Ewan fell asleep right after the show and got carried all the way to the car. I sometimes had to walk. I think he got the better deal.

Day 3: Hollywood Studios

 

Ariel's show. Jedi training. Belle's show. Muppets' 3D show. Toy Story ride. Air conditioned lunch. Pixar parade. You could not wipe the grin off of my face!!! And a toy a day? This place really is magical!

Day 2: Animal Kingdom

15 minute drive. 25 minutes to get from parking to the park. 4 hours of awesome before the heat absolutely wiped us out. But between Lion King musicals and safari tours, the magic continues as do the souvenirs. Woohoo!
