Summer exploring

Before this week of daily rain, we had the most glorious of days. Mamma stayed home and Daddy even got a day off. 

And so it begins

Marathon parallel Minecraft sessions. Do not ask how long we've been playing. 

Dentist

I HATE THE DENTIST! DO NOT EVER TAKE ME BACK! I DO NOT LIKE PEOPLE TOUCHING MY TEETH, THEY DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT FLAVOR TOOTHPASTE OR CLEANING PASTE, AND THE VITAMIN GEL IS JUST EVIL. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE PAINFUL THING THEY JAB IN YOUR MOUTH TO GET X-RAYS. I'M 6 - WHY X-RAY MY TEETH IF THEY'RE ALL GOING TO FALL OUT ANYWAYS? UGH!

Brownie ceremony

Brownies finished up for the year. Sash is all full and cookie sale prizes earned. All those cookie booths paid off and I reached my goals. Can't wait to do it all again next year. But I'll need another sash. 

Besties

A best friend spends the school year with one parent and the summer in another state with her other parent. Do her parents not realize how hard this is for her friends? Like me? 

Zoo

Mamma has a staycation. The zoo is way more fun when fewer people are there. But the cold snap can go away. It is June.

Library

After getting new books from the library, we can't wait to read them. Finished half while at the library, and read more while getting gas on the way home. 

Playroom

Reorganized again.

Mamma put the train set away. So now we have the Lego creation table and the Lego play table. Because Lego Lego Lego. Are there any toys beyond Lego?

Sleeping arrangement

Where have I been sleeping for the last week?

In my bed? Nope.

On the top bunk? No.

With Mamma and Daddy? In the playroom? On the sofa? No. No. No.

On the floor in Ewan's room? You got it!

Parties

We did a potato sack race. Which was fun, but I'm not clear why they call it  that. Better name is a Garbage Bag race.

It was great seeing friends during the summer. It's been FOREVER since I'd seen them. A whole 3 days!

Straight E's for the 3rd year in a row. But the best part of end of year ceremonies? Celebrating with all my friends and making plans to see them in the summer.

Last day of Kindergarten (or second to last day when we had our ceremony at school). Not sure why we had school the last week. Here was our agenda:

Monday: holiday
Tuesday: Field day fun day
Wednesday: Ceremony, leave school or clean classroom. I picked leave!
Thursday/Last day: watch movies, play, tidy up some more.
