These teen months are difficult. All of these hormones rushing through me are getting me all confused. I want to do things by myself, but I can't always do them. It all just frustrates me so much. Thankfully Mamma and Daddy help me and make me laugh so I'm not always like this.
I sign "more". I say "up" for wanting to go outside (because Mamma or Daddy have to pick me up in order to go out). I say "baby" for babies and bears and dogs and people and Pat Sajak. Lately I say "Daddy" for Daddy and Mamma (though I briefly mistakenly called her "Mamma" for 1/2 hour yesterday). I know that dogs and cats and giraffes say "woof".
Bedtime and I still don't get along. It must be the hormones. Or the molars I'm sprouting. Somedays bedtime is good to me. But sometimes it scares me. Or leaves me lonely.
I thought about switching my naps to the afternoon, but so far I'm liking to keep them in the morning. Mamma and Daddy get me up nice and early (6:30am), and then by 9:30am I'm bushed from playing with them. A nap gets me all ready to spend the afternoon running around and reading books. Which, by the way, I LOVE books. I bring them to Mamma and Daddy to read to me. I do the motions they've taught me to go along with some books, or I say the words that are coming up (okay, so sometimes I get excited and say the words too soon, but I still know they're coming up). I read the small ones while getting my diaper changed. I go and sit and read them myself (you say "look at the pictures and turn the pages", I say "read").
I eat like Daddy. Lots, and more please. I don't weigh a lot because I store all the extra food in my beebo (bellybutton) which fortunately turns out instead of in.
If Mamma or Daddy ask me to do something. I understand them. I don't always do what they ask. I usually only do it if it also satisfies me - like being asked to get my shoes, because yes please I'd like to go walk outside. I LOVE the outside. Sure, I get bad reactions to bug bites, and have a nasty habit of tripping on small curbs and scraping my knees. But I get to practice walking up and down on uneven surfaces. And picking up funny leaves and twigs and oops, that was an ant. Yum.
