OUR NEIGHBOR IS AWESOME!

A big huge thank you to our nice neighbor lady for lending us her bouncy-awesome-thingy. Daddy says Bandura is shaking his head. Whatever that means.

It's not what you want, it's what I want

n: That's Mamma. And Ewan. And Daddy. And another baby. And another little baby.
Two of Mamma's friends just had babies. And another is having a baby next month. It'd be nice to have more babies at our house. But Mamma said 'no'.
This is my imitation of Mamma's face when I introduced her to my image of our expanded family.

Child labor laws

Mamma and Daddy are even teaching us skills that will help us earn a living. This time we earned hugs. Maybe next time we'll earn M&Ms!

Help me grow

Mamma and Daddy are such great parents. They will do everything they can to help me grow up big and strong.

Bad words

I guess you could say I've learned some bad words. I called Mamma a "stupid witch" a couple of days ago. And told her to "shut up" in the car. Granted, she was singing very loud and terribly. And today I'm drawing a picture of myself...

M: What are you drawing?
n: There's my legs and my toes, and two little eyes, and a big big smile, and curly hair, and my arms and my middle finger...

Little man

Usually Mamma calls me her little man. She forgot.

M: You're my little boy.
n: Man!

25 months!

I can torment my friends by taking their toys. I can chase after my sister and drive her nuts. I can shake my milk up and down creating wonderful milk patterns on the floor. I can touch the not-to-be-touched electronics. I can splash in the tub and drink bath water. I can throw toys. And most importantly, I can do it all with a smile and a polite "tank you". It helps to be cute.

I can count really well and use my words in sentences. Yes. I'm a smart baby.

I still go to sleep well. Or so I like to pretend. If I sweetly lie down in bed, Mamma and Daddy will shut the door and leave me alone to play with my animals and sing them songs as I stay up late. They're so easy to fool.

Tattoos

n: People with tattoos help people.

Catching flies with honey

While it is fun to be devious and take things from Nina to make her scream, I'm finding that I like the attention I get better if I'm cuddly and nice. Being devious gets me time-out. No like. Being nice gets me books and hugs. Better.

Growing up is hard to do

Sure, I'm learning how to write other letters and names. I'm learning how to share with a toddler brother. I'm getting myself dressed and learning new songs, and becoming more and more independent every day. But I still have a hard time with transitions. I don't want to go to school. I don't want Mamma to drop me off. I want to stay home and watch Shrek (1, 2, 3, & 4, but mostly 3 because it has more princesses). My current routine? Block the door at school, get peeled off of Mamma's leg and cry each morning as she leaves.

Sick

Last week I was sick. Not throwing up but looking great sick. But really, who can make throwing up through your nose look good? I can handle 102'F. I can run around and play all day with that kind of temperature. But 104'F? Doesn't everyone want their Mommy when they get that sick? Especially when she's supposed to be taking a really really really big exam. Come on. What's more important?

Carousel

We've lived here for how long? We've been to the zoo how many times? And Mamma and Daddy only just took us on our first carousel ride? Wheeeeee! My favorite things at the zoo now are the train and carousel. Ewan? He still likes the monkeys.

Civic duty

The only thing on the ballot was whether or not to fund my future schools. But apparently if you're under 18 years of age you can't vote. It's censure I'm telling you. Age discrimination. If it impacts us, we should have the right to vote too! Fortunately, people in my neighborhood are smart and passed our school levy. Seven other neighborhoods weren't so lucky.

Kentucky Derby

Our hats are not nearly fancy enough. But they are fun!

Hair cut #2

Too short?

Mother's Day

Mamma asked for hugs and kisses and good listening ears. Check!

Genetics

Some say loving popcorn is genetic. Others say it has more to do with salt and the fact that my teeth aren't all grown so annoying bits aren't getting caught between my teeth yet.
